Before we start explaining the process of blending, we would like to introduce the Honorable reader to the fact that almost every cigarette made in the world has to contain a certain percentage of Zimbabwe Virginia tobacco in order to enhance its taste.

Although the chemical composition of tobacco, especially sugar, nitrogen and nicotine differs according to the type & method of curing they are also subject to wide variations depending on cultivation, soils, climatic conditions, cultural treatments etc. The type of tobacco that we are concerned with in cigarette blending are Virginia (Full Virginia and Light Virginia) and Burley.

It should be noted that no single tobacco grade is perfect, i.e., having all the positive smoking qualities. Therefore, cigarettes will not have only favourable but also unfavourable smoking characteristics peculiar to the type of tobacco from which the cigarettes are manufactured. It is generally recognized that the proper combination of two and more classes and/or grades of tobacco usually yields a better-balanced smoking product than using a single grade alone.

Some tobacco grades are highly aromatic but have poor burning qualities or maybe too heavily bodied and strong when used alone. 

To get a finished product with a flavour combination of all smoking quality elements it is necessary to obtain suitable blends of leaf types & grades which will each contribute some favourable elements that may be lacking or insufficiently developed in other grades and will tone down or mask any unfavourable elements developed by other components. There may be anything up to 20 different grades making up the blend.

Apart from the tobacco itself, there are many other considerations to be made which will affect the final smoke.

Smoke is an amalgam effect of the following factors:

a) The Tobacco blend itself

b) Rate of combustion (burning)

c) Cigarette paper (porosity)

d) Action of the filter (density, TPM retention)

Our cigarettes have passed the test and given “Golden Approval” to be sold in Europe.

Virginia Blends – a blend of various Virginia tobacco grades ONLY, with NO additional additives other than water and humectant (an invert sugar).

American Blend (toasted) – a blend of Virginia tobaccos and Burley tobacco grades ONLY, with NO additional additives other than water and humectant (an invert sugar).

The shelf life of each brand of our cigarettes is a minimum of 12 months.

Flavoured capsules

All of our flavoured capsules are made with plant-based ingredients utilising plant-based capsule technology. While some of our products may have alcoholic beverage names, it's important to note that they replicate the flavour but do not contain actual alcohol.
